Wendy doesn't remember much of her own history. A failing power source lost many of her memories before she was finally connected to power, but she needs to be "plugged in" all the time now, and cannot function otherwise. Her model of bell jar 3D construct was functional during the mid-to-late 2200s on Earth.
Wendy doesn't remember how she came into the ventilation shafts between decks 2445 and 2446. Perhaps a child of the diaspora that landed at SB109 carried her in there while playing, left her and forgot about her. Or maybe he didn't forget, but is long gone now. Even if she arrived at the start of the base construction, with a family of the crew in 2371, or at any point during the 2-year building period, by 2397, Wendy would have spent over a quarter of a century hidden away in the shafts.
Fortunately, her bell jar was discovered by the Brohs at some point in that time. Where the Brohs originated is anyone's guess, and they don't talk much. With little technology, they still managed to recognize the need to provide some sort of energy, and connected her to what they knew of in the shafts. Since that time, Wendy has been part of their family structure, providing guidance and parenting to children whose parents have no talent for it.
